Miss Teen Texas - Alexis Coleman

Alexis Coleman is the reigning Miss Teen Texas United America 2009! She was extremely fortunate to also be crowned Miss Teen Dallas United America 2009 prior to the state pageant.

Alexis is the daughter of Forrest and Anjal Coleman. She was born on June 8, 1993 in Dallas, Texas.  Alexis currently resides in Garland, Texas and attends Sachse High School.  She has two sisters, Aleah and Allison and one brother, Forrest Andrew. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing, debating, dancing, acting, designing, traveling, shopping and spending time with family and friends.  Alexis is a  member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, Xinos sorority, North Garland Baptist Fellowship Youth Group, and The Sachse Swingsters Varsity Drill Team. Alexis balances all of these activities while maintaining a 4.0 Grade Point Average at her high school. She aspires to be a human rights lawyer.

Alexis is a determined individual and she looks forward to completing her term as Miss Teen Texas 2009 while advocating awareness for teen well-being, focusing on self esteem and domestic violence. She volunteers with Hope’s Door domestic violence shelter, Union Gospel Mission shelter for the homeless, Friendship House, local nursing homes, church groups and  wherever else she can help. Alexis lives her life day by day and continually thanks her savior Jesus Christ for all the opportunities provided thus far.
